Welcome to a momentous occasion—the 70th Anniversary of the Beta Tau chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated! Chartered on December 15, 1954, at Morgan State College with the guidance of the Alpha Alpha Sigma chapter, the Beta Tau chapter stands as the first undergraduate chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, INC, in Maryland.
Established by five trailblazing women, Beta Tau has ignited a legacy that countless phenomenal women have proudly carried forward in their individual and collective service to the world.
The Beta Tau chapter has fostered a tradition of excellence through the achievements of remarkable women who while on the campus led and won numerous campus, regional, and international Sigma awards and have since become doctors, lawyers, nurses, mental and public health professionals, engineers, finance experts, public administrators, entrepreneurs, authors, directors, writers, artists, military officers, and educators.
Your attendance is welcomed at Beta Tau's GOLDEN REFLECTIONS Weekend! Join us for the 70th Chapter Anniversary Fundraising Gala hosted by the Beta Tau Alumni Chapter, 501(c)3, member of the Morgan State University Alumni Association. This Gala vows to be an enchanting evening in a living museum, immersing each guest in the rich history and vibrant achievements of the women and collective efforts of the Beta Tau chapter. Storytelling, inspiration, a delicious buffet, live music, and dancing are just some of what to expect at this elegant affair and celebration.
We welcome sorors, Morgan alumni, guests, family, and friends of Sigma to celebrate and raise crucial funds to help establish an endowed scholarship with the Morgan State University Foundation. This is more than a celebration; it's a tribute to Beta Tau's “Greater Service, Greater Progress” legacy and an exciting step towards an even brighter future for deserving students.

A portion of all ticket sales will contribute to our goal of raising $54,000 to establish an endowed scholarship with the Morgan State University Foundation.
